Project Steps

This design was etched in stages.The technique allows the use of a particular stencil image multiple times on the same project when you don't have enough to etch all simultaneously. Additionally, it enables stencil images to be placed in closer proximity than the stencil borders would otherwise permit.
After preparing the mirror, place the fan shell centered on the bottom of the glass with a shell and mermaid running up one side near it. Follow the etching cream instructions to etch these onto the glass.
Repeat the process with the shell and other mermaid stencil on the opposite side of the shell image, as pictured.
Add the embellishments to the mirror as desired.
