Project Steps
- Please Note - Not all colored glass can be etched with cream. Always test first before beginning any project.
- This design was etched in stages. The technique enables stencil images to be placed in closer proximity than the stencil borders would otherwise permit. It also allows the use of a particular stencil image multiple times on the same project when you don't have enough to etch all simultaneously.
- Place the lotus stencil above the middle of the glass to allow room for the flame to be added later.
- Follow the etching cream instructions to etch the lotus onto the glass.
- Clean the glass thoroughly. Center the flame stencil inside the lotus image now on the glass. Turning the glass upside down and shining a light through the back can help with placement.
