Project Steps
- This design used the hover and press method to place stencil images in spots where the necessary view is obscured by stencil borders. The technique is done by placing stencils sticky side up, holding the glass over the stencil and maneuvering it in air before pressing it down onto the stencil.
- After preparing the glass, lay out the stencils. To etch both of the penguin groups at the same time, two sheets will be required, otherwise etch them one at a time.
- On a grid mat or similar item, lay the penguin stencils, sticky side up, along a line on the mat.
- Use hover and press to position the stencils into the desired locations on the ruler.
- Follow the etching cream instructions to etch the penguins onto the ruler.
